(verb): use or expend carelessly, extravagantly, or to no purpose.
(noun): material that is not wanted.

(cause): lack of creativity and effort on the part of humans to participate in the established ecological cycle of nutrients of Earth.
(solution): ally with Earth's natural decomposers to develop creative processes for bringing value to products that were once considered "waste."

Biodigestors employ bacteria to turn human shit into methane gas that can fire a stove and generate electricity


Vermicomposting employs earthworms to cycle food waste nutrients so that they can become bioavaiable to plants once more. In the US, of all food produced, 40% is discarded as "waste"

Earthships are build with a system of "biotechture" that employ plants as filters in the home's internal water cycling as well as incorporates recycled materials like discarded tires and bottles into the construction.
